The Wisconsin Rapids project accomplishes many things. It meets the needs of the area senior citizen population, eliminates a blighting influence, and spurs new investment by bringing businesses and traffic back to the once floundering downtown area. It represents a good example of how HUD’s Community Development Block Grant program continues to make a difference in communities across America.
